2009 - 36” x 48” Acrylic on Canvas. Thirty-nine years after painting Who’s Winning I (1970), I created Who’s Winning II. This painting is a shocking surreal view of the worlds continuous struggle for peace. Pictured inside the tennis racket is Obama. Centered in the painting are billiard balls and Israel is stuck between the eight and nine ball and appears to have no way out. Behind them is the stars and stripes of the American wave backing up Israel. Below are colorful shapes and circles representing other countries religion and political beliefs. You will see North Korea and the Yen Yang black and white symbol of Buddhism. There’s the little communist country of Cuba and the mighty Chinese communist, Iran, Iraq, and Pakistan take part in this colorful surrealistic painting. The upper half of the painting begins with a NASA space shuttle, E = MC 2, the quarter moon and Islamic star symbol with a question mark and aqua blue ocean meets a night time sky with missiles firing towards the Christian star cross. This all takes place over the circular Iraq flag. the mustached blonde hair face has a red, white and blue eye piece symbol representing the USA. The other eye is a Christian cross. The book of Ecclesiastes represents the uselessness of humanity. Painting is in excellent condition.
